Mantra and Mandala- 50 Hours
Where: Pura Vida Resort- Costa Rica
When: July 29-August 2 2016
Course description:
In common use, mandala has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos, metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe. In a yoga practice, a mandala flow represents moving in a circular motion around your mat. In a mandala yoga class, creative sequencing moves the body through various planes of direction. Physically this type of yoga strengthens and improves flexibility through the the principle of muscle confusion. Emotionally and mentally, it is also keeps things moving and flowing in all directions; literally opening ourselves to all possibilities that life is offering.
In this course we will learn sequencing methodology to create advanced yoga sequences that move in a mandala around the mat. The focus will be taken away from the traditional linear back and forth movements on the mat, and will emphasize creativity required to move a class in a circular motion while using traditional yoga asana.
The mantra portion of this training will focus on traditional sanskrit mantras, but will also incorporate modern mantras. We will learn mantra, chant mantra, and incorporate mantra into mandala classes.

Where: Pura Vida Resort- Costa Rica
When: August 4- August 8th
Course Description:
Explore the healing side of yoga with this exploratory course in hands on adjustments, and yin yoga. Our program offers twice daily live classes to apply knowledge and techniques introduced during lectures.
What is Yin Yoga?
Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. They are also designed to improve the flow of qi, the subtle energy said in Chinese medicine to run through the meridian pathways of the body. Improved qi flow is hypothesized to improve organ health, immunity, and emotional well-being. A more meditative approach to yoga, yin aims at cultivating awareness of one's inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality.
