A Bit About the Ladies
Anayra and Victoria have dedicated their lives to educating and empowering others. They have had been fortunate enough to study with a variety of talented people in different styles of yoga, and they bring the best of these techniques to their students.
One of their missions is to make yoga accessible to everyone, from the raw beginner to more advanced practitioner. Their retreats are centered around relaxation, education, and deepening your practice in beautiful locations worldwide.
How They Met
Anayra and Victoria met at a Salsa dancing workshop in 2001. It didn't take them long to discover they were kindred spirits who love to express themselves through movement.
Anayra suggested that Victoria take a yoga class to help her dancing and that was the start of a journey that has led them here.
A Bit More About Anayra
Anayra has been teaching since 2002 and is an RYT-500 and ERYT-200. She started her teaching journey in 2002. Anayra's classes are filled with the passion and intensity she feels for yoga. Expect core work, stability training and play. Her students always learn something new about alignment, philosophy and transcending their boundaries in her classes.
In 2002 Anayra completed her initial 200-hour training at the Yoga Institute of Houston, with Stan Hafner and Lex Gillian, who have a direct lineage to Pattabhi Jois.
After meeting and studying under Lauren Mones in 2002, Anayra pursued further studies with Anusara founder John Friend, whom she studied with for over 100 hours. She also studied with former senior Anusara teacher Doug Keller and senior teacher Jackie Prete.
Anayra completed her 500-Hour certificate with the Yoga People in Thailand. She trained under Jaime and Ducle, furthering her knowledge of vinyasa in three 100-hour modules that integrated practices such as Ashtanga Vinyasa, Mandala, Rocket, Tripsichore and Yin.
Anayra has completed 40 hours with Shiva Rae last year on elemental vinyasa and will complete 60 more hours this December.
Anayra is certified to teach Pilates and studied Thai Yoga Massage with Saul David Raye.
Anayra also holds a double BA in Religious Studies and Literature from Seton Hall University.

A Bit More About Victoria
Victoria Arvizu graduated with a B.S. in Exercise Science from Rutgers University in 2000 and hasn't stopped moving since. In 2002 she found yoga and fell in love. Victoria, an ERYT-200, has completed many yoga and exercise training programs in her 20+ years in the industry. Her personal style is called High Energy Fusion Yoga, a blend of her extensive training and contagious enthusiasm for the knowledge she imparts in her classes. Her classes are fun, multilevel, and constantly evolving to meet the needs of her students.
Victoria’s playful nature means she loves to be upside down or balancing on her hands. Her classes are infused with humor and the underlying message that you are stronger than you think you are. She believes that the best way to learn more is to teach others. Through yoga she has found her dharma, her life’s path, and in turn hopes to help others find theirs as well. That message has been embraced by her over thirty-seven thousand fans on Instagram. Her page @victoria.arvizu is all about positive self talk, enjoying your practice and, embracing your process.
What Victoria is Up To
Victoria is always learning and studying new things to bring to her students. This summer she will be traveling and studying yin yoga, mandala, tripsichore and, yoga martial arts. Stay tuned for a video project that Victoria hopes to release by the end of the year! She hopes to bring High Energy Fusion Yoga to everyone everywhere!
